Enrollment Steps and Requirements for an Allied Health Noncredit Program:

PLEASE NOTE: All registration packets and CASAS scores must be completed and submitted by the due date*

  1. CASAS Assessment (Entrance Exam)
    1. The CASAS is a FREE assessment and you must register to take it.
      1. CASAS is only given at the following Campuses:
        1. Corinth, Flower Mound, Gainesville, Bowie or Graham Campuses
        2. A minimum score of 240 on Reading and 230 on math is required to register for any Allied Health Non-Credit program
      2. You may go ahead and submit your registration packet but you must register for the CASAS in order to be considered for the program of your choice. The following are the links to get registered for the CASAS. It is first come, first serve and test dates fill up quickly. If you are a no show, you will need to re-register for a new test date.

    2. A passing score from the TSIA2, ATI-TEAS or HESI exams may be substituted for the CASAS if you have taken it within the past year.
      1. TSIA2 score of 950 or above
      2. TEAS score of above 65%
      3. HESI Cumulative Score of 75% or above
    3. The Allied Health Department will verify your score with the Testing Service Center
    4. You may repeat the CASAS exam one time if you do not achieve appropriate scores for entrance into the program.
    5. CASAS scores are good for 6 months from the date of assessment-if you have taken and passed the CASAS within a 6 month period of enrollment, you will not need to take the exam again.

  1. Complete the NCTC Allied Health Registration Packet online by completing the Allied Health Program Application on the right of this page. Please complete the entire application and upload required documents:
    1. CASAS report with scores
    2. High School diploma/GED (CNA applicants may be exempt if dual credit applicant)
  2. Once completed click on Submit Application. Your application will be submitted.

 

Supporting Documentation and Records:

Once accepted into the program, you will receive via email an acceptance packet with information on specifics such as how to set up an account with SurPath, upload your immunization records, physical exam, health insurance, CPR card, and any other requirements for your program.

 

Allied health Registration File Completed:

Upon acceptance, your registration form will be sent to the Admissions office for final processing and official enrollment into the program. Once enrolled, you will receive an email from Admissions letting you know that you are officially enrolled in the classes.

 

Payment of class tuition:

  1. Federal Financial Assistance-There is NO FAFSA available for Allied Health Non-Credit programs and will need to be paid prior to class start unless you have contacted the NCTC Business office for assistance on how to pay for your class.
  2. Tuition can only be paid after receiving the Admissions email of official enrollment. Please note that this email may arrive after the enrollment period deadline date but prior to class start.

TB Skin Test (Will accept results of a TB Test if done within a year and does not expire during the course, externship or Clinical

1 QuantiFERON gold or 2x PPD: Completed every 12 months – screening does not count – must have negative blood or PDD test.

 

If a student shows positive on PDD or other signs or symptoms of active tuberculosis disease you must proceed with additional evaluation to exclude active tuberculosis disease including tuberculin testing, chest X ray, and sputum evaluation.

 

Negative chest x-rays are valid for 5 years.

 

If you have not received these vaccines or do not have records of them, you may obtain immunizations or take a titer test indicating immunities. Immunizations or tests may be done at your physician’s office, local walk-in clinics or at the Denton County Health Department.
