GOOD NEWS on Textbook Purchases using Financial Aid
We’ve worked out an agreement with Follett Bookstores to allow students with PELL and/or student loans to charge textbooks and required course materials! We are sending a file to the Gainesville, Corinth, and Flower Mound stores with estimates of aid and they will allow charges tomorrow (Aug. 26) through next Friday (Sept. 2).
Some disbursements will still go out periodically, both direct deposits and checks, so we realize that there is a possibility you may have access to more aid than you were awarded. But we wanted you to have the required course materials so you can be successful in your classes. Once all aid is dispersed, we will notify students who owe anything back.
Also, if your classes are "ineligible" for financial aid due to not being on the proper degree plan, please see an advisor in the Counseling/Testing offices.
Good luck with your classes! We want you to be successful at NCTC!
Thank you for your understanding as we advance through our computer conversion! It’s going to make things better!!
We have included a MyNCTC User Guide to assist with navigating the new student portal. MyNCTC Student Access Portal is available for students who have active NetIDs and passwords. If you have not received your NetID and password, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk.
