Attendance and Late Work Policy

If you must miss class, be aware you can turn in your work by the start of the missed class period and still receive full credit. As a general rule, no late work is accepted, but if there is an emergency or impediment out of your control, please contact me so we can try to find a reasonable solution. If you must be absent the day of an exam, please arrange to make it up ahead of the exam date. Arriving late, leaving early, and stepping out of the classroom affect your attendance. Please contact a classmate for information that you missed and review the day’s presentation in Canvas. After the 4th absence, the student may be administratively dropped. 3 tardies/leaving early equal one absence. At the professor’s discretion, excessive tardiness may be counted as an absence. You must actively participate in class in order to be counted present.
