Description

Study of instruments, instrument systems, terminology, process variables, and control coops as used in a petroleum environment.
32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours.

At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Describe the oil field instrumentation; identify the basic instruments used with temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical field applications; and describe the basic components of a control loop.
