Description

A study of practices and procedures that are involved in drilling operations. Topics on rig equipment, casing design, fishing, and proper procedures to successfully drill a well are discussed.
48 lecture hours.

At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Describe fundamentals operations in the drilling industry; identify the five major systems and equipment of a drilling rig; Describe specific downhole problems; and explain solutions.
