SUMMARY OF COURSE ASSIGNMENTS
List of graded assignments: Reading assignments, discussion forums, SB assignments, essays, research papers, quizzes and exams
Final grade scale: 100
Late work policy: Each assignment will have a specific due date. Late work will be accepted and will incurr a 5-point late penalty per day up to one week. After one week the assignment will be given an automatic zero. All course assignments will be opened on the first day of the class (Jan. 17, 2023) and will close on the very last day of the class (May 13, 2023, at 1159 pm).
Exams: There are no exceptions for missing an exam deadline. Exams will be available under the 'Home' tab section of this course, so please pay close attention to the closing date and time of each exam. Exams may be taken once over the assigned chapters and will have a specified time limit. Please remember once an exam is sarted, it must be completed within the time limit. If the exam you are taking is stopped for any reason, only that score will be recorded when the exam is stopped (because you cannot return to the exam once stopped).

Academic Integrity Policy:
Attendance Policy: Attendance is based on participation in the class, so you are expected to actively participate in the assignments and the graded discussion forums on a weekly basis. I also expect you to check your email every day on M-F for any additional content. Exams are not allowed to be turned in late (exam integrity). Discussion questions are only allowed opened during the week in which they are due.
Withdrawal Policy:
A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.
Last day to withdraw from the course with a “W” is: April 3, 2023
Student Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to:
- Identify various research methods and their characteristics used in the scientific study of psychology.
- Describe the historical influences and early schools of thought that shaped the field of psychology.
- Describe some of the prominent perspectives and approaches used in the study of psychology.
- Use terminology unique to the study of psychology.
- Describe accepted approaches and standards in psychological assessment and evaluation.
Identify factors in physiological and psychological process involved in human behavior.
