May be repeated for credit. Study and performance of a wide range of wind instrument repertoire (woodwind, brass, and percussion) from the Renaissance through the Twentieth Century. Open to all students (audition required). Satisfies the college core curriculum requirement.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Every student is expected to attend each and every rehearsal for this course. Rehearsal attendance accounts for 50% of the student’s grade, and concert attendance accounts for the other 50% of the grade. Any unexcused rehearsal or performance absence will be deducted from the student’s overall grade.
Please note: An unexcused absence from a performance will drop the student’s grade by 25% and an unexcused absence from a rehearsal will drop a student’s grade by 5%.
***An excused absence is ONLY allowed for a family emergency, a death in the family, or documented sickness (from healthcare personnel). Work does not qualify as an excused absence.***

CONCERT ATTIRE: Ensemble attire is concert black. Gentlemen, please have black socks and shoes, black dress pants, and a black button down shirt. A black coat and tie are optional. Ladies, please wear concert black as well. Any of the following will work: Black dress pants and black shirt, black dress, black skirt and black shirt. For dresses and skirts, please make sure that they are knee length or longer.
