Description

Concepts of sets, functions, numeration systems, number theory, and properties of the natural numbers, integers, rational, and real number systems with an emphasis on problem solving and critical thinking. (NOTE: This course is for education/teaching majors only and is a required part of the approved field of study curriculum for EC-6 and EC-12 Special Education teacher certification)
48 lecture hours.

Prerequisite: MATH 1314 or ACT, SAT, or placement test score required by NCTC Math Department.
