Course description: A systems approach to managing activities associated with traffic, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, packaging, order processing, and materials handling. Upon course completion, students will be able to explain the terms and how they relate to the overall concept of logistics; explain the legal aspects and regulatory agencies as they relate to logistics management; and demonstrate ability to apply decision making techniques based on time, materials, and space.

Course prerequisites: None

Required course materials: Supply Chain Management (Connect Access Card), 5th Edition; McGraw-Hill (You must purchase the book that has the Connect Card Access.  Most of your assignments will require Connect Access).

Late work policy:

Late work will not be excepted for documented illnesses or family emergencies.

Students have 7 days to complete assignments.  Canvas will direct you to what files are excepted for your assignment submissions.  Check the acceptable submission formats prior to emailing to notify me of submission problems.  If you have a problem uploading an assignment and choose to email it to me, it must be time stamped before due date as published in Canvas.    All assignments are important so please do not discount them.

Academic Integrity Policy:

Attendance Policy:

Attendance will be taken from assignment participation. Weekly module, completion of the chapter quiz will be used for attendance verification.

Students must participate in more than 75% of all classroom sessions to successfully complete this course. There are 8 class sessions in this semester. The final grade will be reduced 5% for more than 2 unexcused absences. 

 

Withdrawal Policy

A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

Last day to withdraw from the course with a “W” is: October 2, 2023
