Description

This is a practical application and comprehensive course that includes the planning, design, and construction of a complex network that will sustain an attack, document events, and mitigate the effects of the attack.
48 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours.

At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Assemble network defense tools; identify network traffic to determine differences between authorized and unauthorized activity on a network; respond to a breach in security through the use of countermeasures designed to minimize the impact of the breach on the network; document network events; and present an analysis of network breach and plan for remediation.
