Description
This course introduces the foundational concepts of operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS), emphasizing their architectures, components, communication protocols, risks, and defenses within critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, water, and manufacturing. Students explore governance and risk management frameworks, real-world OT cyber incidents, ICS-specific threats and vulnerabilities, and the fundamentals of asset management, hardening, and incident response tailored to industrial environments. Through case studies, discussions, and hands-on labs, learners build the conceptual and practical skills needed to understand, analyze, and protect ICS environments at an introductory level.
