Course Prerequisite(s): High School Algebra, Geometry or Business Mathematics

Required Course Materials:

  • Text: Adobe Dreamweaver CC, 2017 Release:  The Professional Portfolio, Kendra, Against the Clock, 2016.  Print ISBN: 978-1-936201-93-8,
    Ebook ISBN: 978-1-963201-94-5
  • Exam Voucher: Adobe Dreamweaver CC Certification Exam voucher. Students are required to take the Adobe Certification Exam at the end of the course. (Voucher can be purchased at any time before end of semester; directions will be posted in an announcement on where to purchase for a discounted price)
  • Software: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017 software – if you have an older version, you might not be able to complete all labs. If you do not have this software, you have a few options:

            a) Students can purchase from Adobe.com at academic pricing

            b) Students can purchase a subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud – this has many benefits: access to ALL of their software, not just Dreamweaver; 20GB of online storage; it’s licensed for 2 workstations, and it works on Macs and Windows computers. More info @ Adobe

            c) Or, if students may come to the Corinth, Flower Mound, or Gainesville campuses and use the school’s computers with the Adobe Dreamweaver CC software on it.

  • Web Host Account: An account with a web hosting company such as GoDaddy.com will be required to use by the end of the first week of class for setting up a remote site to host the web pages you will be creating in the course. Please utilize suggested guidelines by web hosting company when registering your domain name. If you decide to use a hosting company other than the ones recommended, then you will need to make sure that they offer a C-panel, FTP access, MySQL database, scripting (PHP and JQuery). If they offer something called “Plex” instead of a C-panel, do not purchase! Plex does not do everything that the C-panel does and you will have problems if you get hosting with Plex. If you are unclear about this, then email me in Canvas. (Suggested host: GoDaddy Economy Linux Hosting with cPanel)

Recommended: Flash Drive. You are required to keep all labwork until the end of the semester.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students in all classes for which they have registered.  All absences are considered to be unauthorized unless the student is absent due to illness or emergencies as determined by the instructor.  It is the student responsibility to provide documentation as to the emergency for approval and judgement by the faculty member.  Approved college sponsored activities are the only absences for which a student should not be held liable and only when provided by a college official ahead of the absence.  Valid reasons for absence, however, do not relieve the student of the responsibility for making up required work.

Students absent for TEN classes may receive an “F” for the course or be dropped from the course for classes that meet twice a week.  Students absent for FIVE classes may receive an “F” for the course or be dropped from the course for classes that meet once a week.  Chapter Lesson assignments and Exams will be used to determine regular attendance for online students and the FIVE classes missed apply for absences.

Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” is _April 25, 2019.
