Course Description (NCTC Catalog):

This stand-alone course is an interdisciplinary survey of cultures focusing on the philosophical and aesthetic factors in human values with an emphasis on the historical development of the individual and society and the need to create.

                                                               

Course Prerequisite(s): None

Required Course Materials:

Martin, Jacobus. Humanities Through the Arts. 10th Ed.

One novel of the student’s choice (from the approved list). All of these can be found in a local library

Students in this course are required to be at all course meetings. During presentation weeks, students who are not in class will not receive credit for the presentations or participation.
