Description
A study in the process of checking and adjusting all the building environmental systems to produce the design objectives. Emphasis on efficiency and energy savings.
32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours.
At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Interpret HVAC design specifications and plans; measure air flow, water flow, and system pressure with instruments; perform calculations for fan and pump laws including psychometrics; adjust and align mechanical equipment; diagnose malfunctioning equipment and create a punch list; and test air quality, humidity, noise, and temperature
