An introduction to the refrigeration cycle, heat transfer theory, temperature/pressure relationship, refrigerant handling, refrigeration components, and safety.
32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours.
At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Identify refrigeration components; explain operation of the basic refrigeration cycle and heat transfer; demonstrate proper application and/or use of tools, test equipment, and safety procedures.
