Description

Creation of network game and simulation programs. Emphasis on online games and simulation programming technologies, multithreading, player management, peer-to-peer and client/server development.

Upon successful completion, students will be able to: demonstrate incorporation of peer-to-peer and client/server functionality to game and simulation programs; and demonstrate techniques for optimizing networked-enabled game and simulation programs.

32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours

Prerequisites: GAME2342 - Game Development Using C++
