Description
Practical experience in the techniques of imaginative writing. May include fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenwriting, or drama.
Upon successful completion, students will be able to: discuss written works of art from classic and contemporary movements; create pieces of narrative work experimenting with elements of fiction (plot, character, setting, etc.), create pieces of poetic work experimenting with form, content, and style, and/or create pieces of dramatic work experimenting with elements of stage and screen (story, character, form, set, etc.), and/or create reflective work experimenting with elements of creative nonfiction; and discuss students' creative texts.
