Ann Jagoe earned her B.A. in English from Texas Woman's University in 1975.  She earned her M.A. in English in 1986 from Texas Woman's University.  She earned her Ph.D. in English with a Concentration in Rhetoric from Texas Woman's University in 1996.  She chaired the English, speech, and Foreign Language department at North Central Texas College from 2001 until 2012.

Description

Intensive study of and practice in writing processes, from invention and researching to drafting, revising, and editing, both individually and collaboratively. Emphasis on effective rhetorical choices, including audience, purpose, arrangement, and style. Focus on writing the academic essay as a vehicle for learning, communicating, and critical analysis.
48 lecture hours.

Meets NCTC Core Curriculum Requirement

Prerequisite: Satisfactory placement test score or passing grade in ENGL 0305.
