Term: 2026-2027 Fall

Faculty

There is not currently a faculty member for this course

Schedule

Wed-Thu, 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM (8/24/2026 - 10/17/2026) Location: ALL ALL 121

Description

Introduces alternating current (AC). Includes AC voltage, frequency, mechanical, and electrical degrees, waveforms, resistors, capacitors, and inductors.

Upon successful completion, students will be able to: explain AC power waveform generation; define capacitance and inductance; determinethe values of AC voltage, current, and impedance for circuits containing resistors, capacitors, and inductors; explain and calculate the power factor in circuits; and utilize electrical measuring instruments.

32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours

Prerequisites: ELPT 1319 - Fundamentals of Electricity I (ELPT1319 can be taken concurrently)
