We will be having weekly synchronous live classes every Wednesday at 1:00-4:00 pm. These classes are mandatory for the full class time. If you cannot stay for the full class time, your grade will reflect time missed. With distant learning classes it is particularly important to read the comments that I attach to your applications. In our nail art applications, you must post both an inspirational photo and final photo to receive full credit.
Dress code:
You may wear your scrubs or casual professional clothing with smock over it.
No jackets, hoodies or sweatshirts of any kind.
You must look professional and be in dress code during online class or while on campus.
No cell phones, if seen on your cell phone (without permission) you will be asked to clock out for the remainder of the day.
Masks are MANDATORY when in the building!!
Regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students in all classes for which they have registered. Students must meet 90% of their required hours. The hours counted toward attendance will be for online synchronous class time and weekly face-to-face class.
All absences are unauthorized unless, the student is absent due to illness or emergencies as determined by the instructor. It is the student responsibility to provide documentation as to the emergency for approval and judgement by the faculty member. Valid reasons for absence, however, do not relieve the student of the responsibility for making up required work. Students will not be allowed to make up an examination missed due to absence unless they have reasons acceptable to the instructor. A student who is compelled to be absent when a test is given should petition the instructor, in advance if possible, for permission to postpone the exam. Student will be dropped from a class by the Registrar upon recommendation of the instructor who feels the student has been justifiably absent or tardy a sufficient number of times to preclude meeting the course’s objectives. Persistent, unjustified absences from classes or laboratories will be considered sufficient cause for College officials to drop a student from the rolls of the College. From Board Policy FC (LOCAL)
Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” is November 23, 2020.
