Application of the functions related to negotiable instruments, cash control, handling money, and balancing. Explanation of compliance and regulation issues affecting bank tellers.
Upon course completion, students will be able to: identify the differences between negotiable instruments and recognize proper endorsements; demonstrate the ability to handle cash, identify counterfeit bills, and balance teller drawers; explain compliance, regulatory issues, and the Bank Secrecy Act and how it affects a teller; and define and articulate bank terminology used specifically in a bank teller environment.
