Hello,

My name is Dr. Ron Henson, and I have been working in higher education in various capacities with our student population for over 15 years. I have worked as a secondary Pre-K - 12th grade teacher, Adjunct Professor, Director of Academic/Student Services and Human Resources and manager, as well as a Career Services counselor. I am very passionate, committed, and dedicated to assisting students in reaching their academic and career planning and development potential.

It has always been my desire to learn and to pursue higher education therefore, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Southern University and A&M College, a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Training from Amberton University, and a Doctor of Management degree in Higher Education Teaching and Learning from Colorado Technical University.

I believe that prospective students pursuing education are unique individuals who require a safe, caring, and stimulating environment in order to grow, develop, and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. As a professor, coach, counselor, mentor, and advisor, it is my goal to help prospective students reach their full potential by assisting them in discovering themselves and providing authentic hands-on activities that focus on student success.
