PROJECTS
Each assignment (work of art) has a set of instructions. These instructions are assigned to gain knowledge and handling of materials, study of specific content, and art styles. Expectations are that you follow these requirements, with allowances to include your interests of study.
Critique
You are to show and talk with the class about the design, content, and context of each work of art you make. During a critique our expectation is that you show personal desires of study and interest in-class. These fascinating interests and choice differences are to be discussed in critique to reason the decisions made. You are to show and talk with the class about the design, content, and context of each work of art you make.
Grading of Projects
Your grade reflects a willingness to fulfill each assignment to the best of your abilities, and push beyond preconceived inabilities. Each project has specific requirements this amounts to one of the highest regards for our study. Grades reflect your technical craftsmanship, composition, creativity, ability to articulate correct art terminology, discuss the reasons for each design, and ability to proactively discuss others’ artworks.
SKETCHBOOK
You are to fill this entire book to meet 15% of your final grade requirement. This is highly productive assignment. It is similar to a rough draft for an author, we can see the process to formulate ideas and see them become a reality. This book is a personal log of your mind. Use this assignment for a location to work out issues in your wonderful life/dreams, discovery in the arts, and all studies that fascinate you.
DIGITAL SKETCHBOOK
You are to gather a collection of digital images to meet 15% of your final grade requirement. This assignment is to find personal interests. It is similar to a sketchbook, rough drafts, to begin the process to formulate ideas for sculptures. This book is a personal log of what you see as interesting in digital space. Use this assignment to locate your aesthetic to build a collection of unique, astounding, and wonderlustful occurrences in life's discovery. though, there is occasions when s few images will be printed in black and white, I only need the digital collection submitted near the end of the semester.
ASSIGNMENT WORKSHEETS
Worksheets are assignments adjacent to the projects we are working on. These Worksheets follow class projects, lectures, and discussions about specific vocabulary, elements and principles of design, content, art history, and theories.
Each assignment is due the following class day. Each student is to fulfill the assignments on their own. This assures that the ideas within the arts are not only understood, but builds your vocabulary and ways to express (vocalize) your desires of study in the visual arts.
