Description
A work-based learning experinece that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer. Each student will be placed in the horse industry under the supervision of a prominent person who specialized in the student's main areas of interest. The student's industry training will be supervised by the instructor as well as their immediate supervisor on the job. Internship is typically completed in 8 weeks, full time hours, during the summer, or part time hours during the fall or spring semester. This course serves as the external or capstone experience.
