Description
Instruction in evaluation and selection of horses based on breed and performance criteria. Topics include basic anatomy and its relation to function, breed type, and characteristics, and standard performance classes.
Upon successful completion, students will be able to relate conformation to equine functions; prioritize and utilize criteria as related to evaluation and selection; and employ appropriate terminology used in discussing evaluation and selection processes.
