Description

An overview of the beef cattle industry. Topics include the organization and operation of beef cattle enterprises, selection breeding, reproduction, health, nutrition, management, and marketing.

Upon completion, students will be able to summarize the importance of the beef cattle industry and its role in food production; identify beef cattle breeds, classes, and products; and implement managerial practices designed to increase the efficiency of beef cattle production.
