Description
A comprehensive study of reciprocating engine overhaul including measurement and inspection procedures. Instruction in removal and installation, inspections, checks, servicing, repair of engines, and safety procedures will also be addressed.
Upon successful completion, students will be able to: inspect and repair a radial engine; overhaul reciprocating engines; inspect, check, service, and repair reciprocating engines and engine installations; install, troubleshoot, and remove reciprocating engines; and demonstrate safety procedures.
32 lecture hours + 96 laboratory hours
Prerequisite: Determined by US Aviation Academy.
