Course description: Allows students to apply broad knowledge of the accounting profession through specific projects, activities, and other assignments involving the integration of individuals and teams performing activities to simulate workplace situations.

 

Course prerequisites: ACNT 2304 can be a co-requisite.

Late work policy: Late submission are not possible without advance notice or a documented excuse.

Attendance Policy: Attendance will be taken via completion of all assignments.

 

Withdrawal Policy : A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

 

Last day to withdraw from the course with a “W” is: Apr., 1.

 

Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Complete the accounting cycle for service and merchandising businesses;
  • Demonstrate computer skills related to accounting applications in business;
  • Prepare financial reports, communicate report findings in written and oral form;
  • Solve complex accounting issues; and
  • Participate in research and discussion about accounting issues, trends, and/or situations.
