Grade Scale: 90 – 100% = A; 80 – 89% = B; 70 – 79% = C; 60 – 69% = D; Below 60% = F
Homework
On-line homework is due each week on Monday at 11:59 p.m. Students may work from home or at student access computers on campus. Homework assignments can be printed and worked away from the computer, though answers must be submitted online by the due date for full credit. Students may be able to review homework questions after the due date has passed in Thinkwell Content. Students should pace their homework/study schedule to manage their weekly workload. It is highly recommended that homework be completed on each section prior to the next class meeting.
Quizzes
Weekly online quizzes should be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesdays. Each attempt may generate different types of questions, so it is recommended that you review each quiz a few times to prepare for differing question types. It is also recommended that you attempt quizzes without notes to practice test conditions. The highest score out of all attempts will be counted.
Offline Assignments
Offline assignments will be counted as quiz grades. There may be up to 3 offline assignments. A late offline assignments will be accepted if submitted by the next class meeting. The score will be reduced by 20 percentage points.
Questions on the homework and quizzes will be discussed at the beginning of each class. Practice is absolutely necessary for successful progress in the course.

The instructor reserves the right to change the schedule as needed during the semester. Changes discussed in class or sent through Canvas will supersede the tentative schedule.
Regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students in all classes for which they have registered. Students should prepare for class by bringing writing implements and a calculator to every class, in addition to any assigned work. All absences are considered to be unauthorized unless the student is absent due to illness or emergencies. It is the student’s responsibility to provide documentation as to the emergency for approval by the faculty member. Approved college-sponsored activities are considered excused absences. The instructor is responsible for judging the validity of any reason given for an absence. Valid reasons for absence, however, do not relieve the student of the responsibility for completing required work. A student will be dropped from a class by the Registrar upon recommendation of the instructor who feels the student has been unjustifiably absent or tardy a sufficient number of times to preclude meeting the course’s objectives. Persistent, unjustified absences from classes will be considered sufficient cause for College officials to drop a student from the rolls of the College. From Board Policy FC (LOCAL)
There are no make-up tests. The final exam score may be used to replace the lowest unit test score.
Last day to withdraw from a 16-week course with a “W” is Thursday, November 8, 2018.
