We will have these books provided for you in the library, but you will have to purchase an access code for the online component. (You can do this thru Canvas)

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

At the successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

1

Demonstrate and apply knowledge of properties of functions.

2

Recognize and apply algebraic and transcendental functions and solve related equations.

3

Apply graphing techniques to algebraic and transcendental functions.

4

Compute the values of trigonometric functions for key angles in all quadrants of the unit

circle measured in both degrees and radians.

5

Prove trigonometric identities.

6

Solve right and oblique triangles.

 

 

 

 

  ATTENDANCE POLICY

Regular and punctual attendance is expected of all students in all classes for which they have registered.  Students are responsible for keeping up with what occurs in class when they are absent.  Dropping a course is the student's responsibility---this instructor will not drop you if you stop attending.   See Attendance Regulations in the North Central Texas College Catalog.

 

 

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

There will be at least one quiz (and often more) due each week.  Some quizzes are online, and some are take-home.  They are all done outside of class.

 

Exams will be given in class.

 

Exam #1:  Monday, September 12

Exam #2:  Wednesday, September 28

Exam #3:  Friday, October 14

Exam #4:  Wednesday, November 2

Exam #5:  Friday, November 18

Final (comprehensive):  Monday, December 5:  1pm – 2:50pm

 

Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” is November 14, 2016
