Course description: Prepare students who have completed the CCNA v7 courses for the Nationally
Recognized 200-301 CCNA Exam with additional focused instruction on security skills
in a Cisco environment. This course is serves as the Capstone for the Cisco Basic and
Cisco Systems Certificates.

COURSE POLICIES

 

Academic Integrity Policy: Scholastic dishonesty shall include, but is not limited to cheating, plagiarism, academic falsification, intellectual property dishonesty, academic dishonesty facilitation and collusion.  Faculty members may document and bring charges against a student who is engaged in or is suspected to be engaged in academic dishonesty.  See Student Handbook, “Student Rights & Responsibilities: Student Conduct”.   

Attendance Policy: Attendance will be taken from discussion forum participation. Students must make a post in the discussion forum to be log as present for the week. If no discussion forum is included in the weekly module, completion of the chapter quiz will be used for attendance verification.

 

Withdrawal Policy

A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

 

Last day to withdraw from the course with a “W” is April 31, 2025

 

Student Learning Outcomes: At the successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

LO1      Review for the 200-301 CCNA Exam

LO2      Demonstrate skills assessed on the 200-301 CCNA Exam through practice exams

LO3      Demonstrate hands-on security skills by implementing a secure VPN with routers,
switches and firewalls, and identifying threats and solutions.
