Course Description (NCTC Catalog):
A survey of the social, political, economic, cultural, and intellectual history of the United States from colonization through the end of the Civil War. We will pay special attention to the role of slavery in early American history, the development of the industrial American economy, and the design/implementation of the Constitution.
