Course Description:
Introduction to the refrigeration cycle, heat transfer theory, temperature/pressure relationship, refrigerant handling, refrigeration components, and safety.

Prerequisites: None
Required Materials: Fundamentals of HVACR, 4th ed. (Stanfield & Skaves). PowerPoints provided.

Exams: Section Exams + Final Exam
Final Grade: Based on total average of all assignments & exams


Grade Scale:
A = 90–100%
B = 80–89%
C = 70–79%
D = 60–69%
F = Below 60%

Late Work Policy: No late or incomplete assignments accepted.
