Course description:

Career-related activities encountered in the student’s area of specialization offered through an individualized agreement among the college, employer, and student. Under the supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. Includes a lecture component.

 

Course prerequisites:  

Special permission should be attained from the instructor prior to registering for this course.

Late work policy:

Late work will not be accepted for any reason. Computer problems are not an excuse for late work.  All assignments not turned in by the due date, within the assignment, will be given a zero in the grade book.

COURSE POLICIES

 

Academic Integrity Policy:

Attendance Policy:

Simply logging into an online course does not constitute attendance. Students will be counted as present for the week when the weekly assignments have been submitted.  If the assignments are not submitted for the week, students will be counted absent.

 

 

Withdrawal Policy:

A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

 

Last day to withdraw from the course with a “W” is:  April 4th, 2022

  1. Apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry (IE-Supervisor Eval. & Meet at Job Placement).
  2. Demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry (IE-Final Report & Self-Eval).
