An introduction to computer-aided drafting. Emphasis is placed on setup; creating and modifying geometry; storing and retrieving predefined shapes; placing, rotating, and scaling objects, adding text and dimensions, using layers, coordinate systems, and plot/print to scale.

The class will follow the North Central Texas College guidelines attendance regulations of:
- Regular and participation in scheduled discussions will be considered heavily for participation grades.
- Participation in discussions as well as meaningful post in the “Coffee House” will be considered for this policy.
- Providing assignments for the first six weeks is mandatory. If no assignments are complete by the end of the sixth week, the instructor will drop the student and notify financial aid.
- Providing assignments within the schedule timelines is the majority of your attendance participation.
Last day to withdraw from a course with a “W” is November 8th.
