Introduction to the principles of drafting to include terminology and fundamentals, including size and shape descriptions, projection methods, geometric construction, sections, and auxiliary views.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

 

Class attendance is REQUIRED. 

Class begins at 6 pm. 

Missed work is the responsibility of the student.

Missed quizzes will not be allowed to be made up.

Week 2: Chapter 1 – Lettering

Week 3: Chapter 2 – Sketching: video and lecture; workbook exercises

Week 4: Chapter 3 – Orthographic Projection: video and lecture, begin workbook exercises

Week 5: Chapter 3 – continue with workbook exercises, class discussion

Week 6: Chapter 4 – Isometric drawings: video and lecture; workbook exercises

Week 7: Midterm

Week 8: Chapter 5 –Oblique drawings: video and lecture, begin workbook exercises

Week 9: Chapter 5 – continue with workbook exercises, class discussion

Week 10: Chapter 6 – Auxiliary views: video and lecture, begin workbook exercises

Week 11: Chapters 7 – Oblique drawings: video and lecture, begin workbook exercises

Week 12: Chapters 7 – continue with workbook exercises, class discussion

Week 13: Chapter 8 – Dimensioning: video and lecture, begin workbook exercises
