My name is Marci Malcom, I will be your facilitator/instructor this semester and I am looking forward to working with you.  All assignments and other content for BCIS will be accessed through Canvas.  If you have never used Canvas before, please be sure to familiarize yourself with Canvas in order to navigate the course.  

The key to success in this course is to set aside time each week to complete your assignments. There are assignments due each week.  You do NOT have the option of waiting and catching up later.  Online students can expect to spend a minimum of 4 to 6 hours per week working on assignments.  It is also important to stay connected and communicate with me.  I will post announcements about upcoming due dates, tips for different assignments, how to prepare for exams, etc.  Please make sure to read all announcements and ask questions!  I am here to help, but it is up to you to let me know when you have questions or need assistance.

I will respond to messages within 24 hours during the week and within 48 hours on the weekend.  I will also be online and available for questions on Tuesday evenings from 6 - 8pm. If that time doesn't work for you I will be happy to schedule another day/time to conference with you.  You can contact me through Canvas at any time.
