Course title:  Intro to Computer Graphics

Course description: A survey of computer design concepts, terminology, processes, and procedures. Topics include computer graphics hardware, electronic images, electronic publishing, vector based graphics, and interactive multimedia. 32 lecture hours + 32 laboratory hours. At the conclusion of the course a student will be able to: Define computer terminology; identify peripherals; and demonstrate page layout, multimedia, and peripherals software use.

COURSE POLICIES

 

 

Academic Integrity Policy: Scholastic dishonesty shall include, but is not limited to cheating, plagiarism, academic falsification, intellectual property dishonesty, academic dishonesty facilitation and collusion.  Consequences for academic dishonesty may include:

1) The student will receive a failing grade of "O" on the assignment. If the assignment is within a group in which the lowest assignment is dropped, the assignment will not be able to count as a dropped score. It will count as part of the grade.

2) A "Scholastic Dishonesty Report Form" will be submitted regarding the incident

3) Student may be dropped from the course with a failing grade (letter grade of “F”)

Attendance Policy:

Your attendance is based on your submission of assignments/projects. Failure to submit without notification can constitute absences. As an online accelerated class we will have course work for the equivalent of twice a week for eight weeks only.  The classes will be totally online and assignment/project driven. Assignments online are due by 11.59 p.m. on each Wednesday – this includes all quizzes. Projects are due on each Sunday by 11:59.

 

A student may withdraw from a course on or after the official date of record. It is the student’s responsibility to initiate and complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

LO1      Define computer terminology.

LO2      Identify peripherals. (i.e. flash drives, external drives, cameras and scanners.)

LO3      Demonstrate competency in page layout, multimedia, and peripheral software use.
